I am one of the many Arab fans who jumped with joy when they finally got to see the last 11 episodes of PLAWRES Sanshiro. So of course I would like to give my deepest thanks to the team that made this possible.

I'm curious about one thing, however. At first I found the episode count to be a bit strange and then after watching the show I got further intrigued so I ask the staff this question:

Was PLAWRES Sanshiro a canceled show? As in it was planned for 50 episodes then got canceled and scaled down to a rushed ending like what happened to the original Gundam and Macross shows? I couldn't find any answers for this on the web so I thought perhaps you people might know.

Also, I experienced some problems watching the show. No matter what player I used (at first using K-lite then switching to CCCP for codecs), there were always some points in the episode where it would "crash" and reset to the beginning. I went around this by skipping a few seconds after the "crash" point but it was still pretty annoying. Did anyone else encounter this problem or did I just have slightly corrupted files? This has never happened to me before with MKV files.

I appreciate any constructive response, and thanks again.

What you should is check the CRC of the files you've downloaded and see if it matches the CRC in the filenames. If it matches then your files are not corrupt. My advice is, use CCCP with Media Player Classic. If for some reason you can't get it to work, maybe you ought to check VLC

I should have been more specific in my post, but I already tried all the players you mentioned.

In fact, VLC doesn't even reset. It generates and error and shuts down.

Maybe your drivers are screwed.
Try uninstalling any and all you have and then install only CCCP to test it. Wink

For the codec problems the other guys have answered, but please make sure that the CRC match those of the official name. Other than that, no other user has ever reported such problems. Perhaps you could check them to a friend's computer?

As for the series' ending, it might be the case that it ended prematurely (haven't seen the series myself) due to financial problems or something like that, as it happens with a lot of series - even lately (Twelve Kingdoms comes in mind).

Unfortunately, most of the staff members that worked on this project have stopped fansubbing, but then again I don't know even if they knew the answer to your question.

Thank you all for responding. And again I apologize for neglecting to mention that the same problem occured on every computer I tried, so it's clearly the fault of the files themselves.

For that to happen, as you say, it's clearly the files doing something wrong.
So, check the CRCs as described above and see if some or any file has wrong CRC, which would mean that you have to re-download it as it is corrupted. Wink

And in order to save valuable download bandwidth, you could re-download the .torrent file, and choose to overwrite your existing files. Any possible corruptions in the files should be fixed that way. Besides, the SHA1 hashing included in the torrent is much more precise than a simple CRC.

P.S.: This utility may prove to be pretty handy to calculate CRC checksums:
