With an incredible showing of power and belief, over 300,000 people in 72 hours called on the European Parliament to reject the rights-threatening international copyright treaty, ACTA. Weve shone a bright light on the countries that signed this secretly negotiated agreement but the fight to save the internet is far from over.
ACTA still needs to be approved by the European Parliament, and if it goes down there, the agreement will effectively be dead in the water. Now we invite you to join us by taking to the streets at a protest near you on Feb 11.
You signed the petition against ACTA, now check out the amazing map below showing the global day of action, and grab a friend to join a protest and make your voice heard:
If you cant make a protest, you can still participate. Go to our Tumblr page and show your solidarity with the Feb. 11 protestors by submitting a picture, words of support, or protest signs! Your pictures and words will be posted on our page, and the best signs will be printed out by us and given to protestors on Feb. 11.
As you know, the internet is facing many threats and in 2012 Access will ask for your help on those issues. This is the year to protect the internet, and it starts with all of us! We're right in the center of the fight for digital freedom in 2012 and we're happy to have you with us.
The internet has been used for activism. Now its time to use activism to save the internet.

Όπως ίσως ξέρετε, στις 11/2 ημέρα Σάββατο, 5 η ώρα το απόγευμα έχουν οργανωθεί διαδηλώσεις τόσο στην Αθήνα, όσο και στην Θεσ/νικη και στην Πάτρα. Πιθανόν να γίνονται συλλαλητήρια και σε άλλες μικρότερες πόλεις.

Τίτλος: Οι Anonymous χάκαραν το site του Υπουργείου Δικαιοσύνης!!!
Στις 22/2/12 και ώρα 01:45 οι anonymous χάκαραν την ιστοσελίδα του Υπουργείου δικαιοσύνης.. Αυτή ήταν η σελίδα μετά το "ντού" των anonymous:
Μετά απο περίπου 45 λεπτά αφού το πήραν χαμπάρι οι αρμόδιοι, το site έκλεισε, άγνωστο μέχρι πότε!!!
Επίσης οι anonymous γράψαν και κάποια πράγματα όσο είχαν υπό τον έλεγχό τους το site..
Πατώντας στην υπογραφή μου μπορείτε να μεταφερθείτε στο group μου στην anidb...
Εκεί κατοχυρώνω ότι anime έχω ξεκινήσει και είναι σχετικά δυσεύρετο,όποιος έχει κάτι που δεν είναι κατοχυρωμένο και θέλει να το κάνει εγγραφή ας μου στείλει ένα pm...
Ήδη έχω συγκεντρώσει υλικό από tv rips και σκοπεύω σύντομα να ξεκινήσω ακόμη περισσότερα projects με ελληνική μεταγλώττιση...
Only a few weeks ago, Canada stood side by side with countries around the world in protest of ACTA. Now it's time for the world to stand with Canada, whose citizens are facing an even more immediate threat.
Put yourself in their shoes: What if your government was considering a policy that would force ISPs to provide unrestricted access to your data to law enforcement at any time, for any reason, and without a warrant? What would you do if your country's leaders were trying to rewire the Internet to support systems of constant digital surveillance? Canadians are facing these dangers in the form of Bill C-30, and Canadian Public Safety Minister Vic Toews (right) is bent on getting it passed despite strong opposition from the public.
When we asked you last week to identify the largest threats facing the internet today, the response was unequivocal: Stop online censorship, invasions of privacy, and digital surveillance (See the P.S.). C-30 is the embodiment of these fears, as it would create a closed and monitored internet. Stand up for the rights of Canadian citizens and call on the Canadian government to abandon C-30:
Democratic governments such as Canada's should be setting an example of openness and respect for civil liberties for the world -- not taking cues from repressive regimes like Syria and Iran. The good news is that support for C-30 is starting to waver, and we can deliver the knock-out punch.

Πριν λίγες μέρες ψηφίστηκε στις ΗΠΑ ένας νέος νόμος, διάδοχος του SOPA, ο CISPA (Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act). Σύμφωνα με αυτό, η Αμερικανική κυβέρνηση θα έχει δικαίωμα να παίρνει οποιαδήποτε πληροφορία από οποιοδήποτε site (πχ Google, Facebook, κλπ), χωρίς την ανάγκη εντάλματος, και παρακάμπτοντας οποιονδήποτε προηγούμενο νόμο (πχ περί προσωπικού απορρήτου).
Ο νόμος θα εφαρμόζεται σε περιπτώσεις:
"Διαδικτυακής απειλής"
Έρευνας για κυβερνοεγκλήματα
Για την προστασία ατόμων σε περίπτωση θανάτου ή βαριάς σωματικής βλάβης
Για την προστασία παιδιών
Για θέματα εθνικής ασφάλειας
Ο νόμος ορίζει ως "διαδικτυακή απειλή":
Οποιαδήποτε προπάθεια για βλάβη ενάντια σε δημόσια και ιδιωτικά συστήματα και δίκτυα.
Κλοπή ή παράνομη κατοχή δημοσίων ή ιδιωτικών δεδομένων, πνευματική ιδιοκτησία ή αποκλειστικά προσωπική πληροφορία.
Ο λόγος που αυτή τη φορά δεν έγινες τόσος ντόρος, όπως με το SOPA/PIPA, είναι επειδή ο τωρινός νόμος έχει την υποστήριξη πολλών μεγάλων site και εταιρειών, όπως Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Intel.
Τον συγκεκριμένο δεν τον βρίσκω παράλογο (σε αντίθεση με τους 2ο προηγούμενους).
Ούτως η άλλος έλεγχος γινόταν (και γίνετε) πάντα από αμερικάνικες υπηρεσίες, κυβερνήσεις και χωρίς τον νόμο.
Πιο πολύ για ανακοίνωση μου κάνει παρά για ψήφιση νέου νόμου. _________________
